Jukka Vehmas Appointed Director of
Product Management at Glaston :: Mar 20, 2008

Jukka Vehmas, former General Manager of Uniglass, will continue as Director of Product Management for the Glaston Heat Treatment business area. He officially took up this new position in October 2007, but continued at Uniglass until a new general manager was appointed and assumed responsibilities on March 3, 2008.
In his new position, Jukka will be responsible for all Glaston Heat Treatment product lines, and therefore will also be involved with Uniglass product development in the future as well.
Jukka began with Uniglass when the company was founded already 10 years ago. He has been actively participating in developing the Uniglass specialized tempering furnace technology and bringing new commercially viable solutions to the market for increased production volumes and better energy efficiency.

I am especially pleased about the position Uniglass has been able to achieve in our own chosen market area. Jouko Aula, M.Sc., appointed Managing Director of Uniglass :: Mar 3, 2008

Effective March 3, 2008, Jouko Aula assumed the position of Managing Director for Uniglass Engineering Oy where he moved from the position of Sales Support Director in Glaston.
Aula has been involved in Glaston for the past one and a half years, first to head up R&D and later work with sales support.
Previous experience includes a long career in the process machinery industry. He worked for Metso Paper Machinery for 24 years in various positions including R&D, engineering, sales and business management.
"After the long experience in large international company, I am looking forward to work within a smaller, active organization with many enthusiastic and talented people." he says.
As to goals for Uniglass, Aula comments: "Reliability and keeping delivery promises. This is what Uniglass is highly appreciated for - and this is what I intend to focus on in the future as well. Uniglass technology and machine designs are in very good shape for flat tempering customer needs, and we will keep our focus there."
He also plans to work closely with customers and keep up the outstanding level of service that makes Uniglass special.

Anne came to Uniglass from the position of Export Assistant at Nunnanlahden Uuni Oy where she was responsible for logistics, technical reclamations and company visitor programs.
