R&D director Jukka Vehmas appointed

A new Managing Director has been appointed for Uniglass Engineering, a Kyro
subsidiary belonging to its Glaston Technologies business area. Glass flat
tempering machine manufacturer Uniglass' Research and Development Director,
M.Sc. (Eng) Jukka Vehmas, 45, has been made the new Managing Director.
Vehmas is one of Uniglass' founders and has held several positions within the
company for a total of over ten years. Vehmas accepts the new challenges with
technology as well as customer working as his priorities.
- My objective is to improve our already strong market position with customer
orientated Uniglass technology and increase customer satisfaction, he says.
Vehmas starts as Managing Director of Uniglass on 1 March 2007. Petri Mölsä,
who held the position before Vehmas for some five years, starts his employment
with another company at the beginning of April.
The Ylöjärvi-based Uniglass, part of Glaston Technologies, is a machine
manufacturer specialized in flat tempering machinery. The company's main
markets are in the United States, Middle East and Europe, where it is the
second biggest manufacturer.

Year 2006 was remarkably good for Uniglass. Uniglass' customers continue to be
extremely satisfied with the quality of glass they have been able to produce
with Uniglass' equipment as well as with the competent after-sales
services.
Excellent glass quality with all glass types (especially Low-E), easy
maintenance and the superior capacity of the machine together with our reliable
deliveries brought Uniglass a number of new customers. This year has also
started off well and we look forward continuing on the path of success!

Uniglass has delivered so far well over 100 tempering lines around the world to
almost 30 different countries is now proud to add two more countries to the
list. These new markets where Uniglass will be delivering new furnaces in April
2007 are both in Europe; the other in Portugal and the other in Czech
Republic.

Katja Kilpinen has been appointed as Uniglass' new Purchase Coordinator. Katja
takes care of buying all necessary components for projects. Uniglass welcomes
Mrs. Kilpinen and wishes all the success in her new position!

Uniglass at Glasstec, October 24-28, 2006 :: Oct 5, 2006

This year's biggest glass exhibition Glasstec opens its doors on October 24 at
Düsseldorf, Germany. Since Uniglass was established in 1996 it has been
exhibiting at every Glasstec. This year the focus is on the patented forced
convection, a core technology behind the company's success. See the

2006 - A celebration year for Uniglass :: Apr 21, 2006

Uniglass has a lot to celebrate in the year 2006. Besides celebrating its
10th year in business, Uniglass has also reached an important milestone by
delivering its 100th project in February 2006. This particular project was
delivered to Korea Techno Glass who ordered their second furnace from
Uniglass already. As a salute to these events, Uniglass has designed a new
logo, which will be presented throughout the year.

Jukka Vehmas will be returning back to Uniglass as the Director of R&D. His
responsibilities include the research and development of flat glass
tempering lines. Uniglass welcomes Mr. Vehmas back to the line-up and wishes

100th project signed! :: Dec 20, 2005

Uniglass reached an important milestone in the company's history when it
signed its 100th tempering project this autumn. The deal was signed with
Korea Techno Glass who is now buying their second furnace from Uniglass
already. The company is known for their production of plasma screens for
Samsung Corporation. The furnace they are purchasing now is Uniglass's
latest invention, UniPlasma furnace, which is perfectly suited for this type
of glass manufacturing. The tempering line will be delivered to South Korea
in February 2006.

Uniglass seizes Japan! :: Aug 8, 2005

Uniglass recently obtained a footing in new market areas by selling their
very first furnace to Japan. "Japanese people are known for their lore for
high technology, and this deal really marks how well appreciated our
furnaces are over there. We already have a number of other Asian customer in
countries such as South-Korea and China, so naturally we are very excited
about this new opportunity!" says Uniglass Managing Director, Petri Mölsä.

Uniglass has recently signed on a new service agent in Britain. Richard Le
Grande has been working in the technology and manufacturing industry for more
than 35 years; more than half of that time he has spent in the glass industry.
Over the years the processes of manufacturing, installing and servicing
glass-tempering furnaces have become very familiar to him. Richard and his
family live in a town called Nuneaton, which is about 9 miles from Coventry in
Central England. Due to his central location he will be able to reach any
customer in a matter of hours. Richard has a challenging and an important task
ahead of him. Uniglass wants to build long-term partnerships that will support
customers' business goals. Richard's 15 years of experience in the glass
manufacturing industry will definitely help Uniglass invest in their diverse,
professional and fast maintenance service, as well as further increase customer
satisfaction.

Uniglass' customer, AG Glass & Glazing Ltd in Barnsley, U.K. was recently
presented with the National Award for "Glass Company Of The Year". The award
was accepted by their Managing Director John Spiby, who said it was a privilege
to accept the award on behalf of his Management Team at AG Glass. The company
is one of the most profitable companies in tempered glass business in the UK,
and just recently upgraded their Uniglass UGFPlus
furnace to a UGCPlus "UniCharge" one.
