Why Uniglass?

Gulf Glass Industries, United Arab Emirates

Established in 1991, Gulf Glass Industries' (GGI) central architectural glass processing factory is located in Sharjah, the third largest of the United Arab Emirates. The company is currently rated as possibly the largest dedicated architectural glass processor in the Middle East Gulf Region, employing some 390 staff with an annual turnover of around US$50 million. In addition to supplying the local Emirates market, GGI exports throughout the Gulf region and to some 50 countries internationally. In January 2007, GGI took delivery of their first UGCPlus UniCharge 2400x4800.

"One of the prime considerations behind GGI's decision to select a Uniglass furnace was the latest generation of "post-temperable" glasses, which essentially require good and uniform heat saturation. Not all glass processors can comply with this critical prerequisite – it's essential to employ the correct type of tempering furnace", explains General Manager of GGI, Mr Samih Fatayerji

Mr Fatayerji continues, "Obviously we visited sites where Uniglass tempering lines were installed. Naturally you would expect companies to be on their best behaviour and try to prove their abilities in such circumstances, or if disgruntled tell us their problems. However it has to be said that what we witnessed and what we learnt was 100% positive. We encountered contented customers producing good quality heat-treated glass."
