With the building boom in the Middle East putting ever-more pressure on the suppliers of high-quality tempered glass, Zamil Glass Industries recently made new investments to keep up with the pace. A key component in this was the purchase of a new Uniglass UGC tempering line.
Before the new Uniglass UGC arrived in the company's plant in Damman in January 2008, the company had already evaluated all the suppliers in the world, including studies to test energy consumptions and capacity rates. As it came out, the UGC, which features turbo technology for top and bottom convection, not only proved itself in these tests, but also provided better quality and glass flatness, the key characteristic in avoiding reflection distortion when used in buildings. The UGC, together with a new double-glazing line, now provide welcome relief in a market crazed by the current building boom.
